Jeune artiste autodidacte, je suis un créateur français qui a choisi de poser ses valises à Montréal il y a plus de cinq ans. Après des études en conception infographique au Collège Salette, je me suis lancé dans l’aventure de la création en tant que graphiste indépendant, collaborant avec des agences de communication ainsi qu’avec des organismes socioculturels.
Passionné par l’image depuis l’adolescence, je pratique la photographie depuis l’âge de 15 ans. Entièrement autodidacte à mes débuts, j’ai affiné mon regard au fil des années, en complétant mon apprentissage par quelques cours de photographie dans différents établissements.
Parallèlement, j’ai développé une pratique vidéo, un médium pour lequel je nourris un intérêt grandissant. Cette exploration me permet d’apporter davantage de mouvement, de rythme et de profondeur à ma vision créative.
Cette double culture visuelle entre design, photographie et vidéo, nourrit aujourd’hui ma pratique artistique et enrichit ma manière d’observer, de raconter et de créer.
Mon nom d’artiste, Jeriko, fait référence à la rose de Jéricho, surnommée « la rose de la résurrection, de l’immortalité ou de la fertilité ». Cette plante indomptable, qui semble ne jamais mourir et renaît au gré des saisons, incarne parfaitement ma vision : une existence en transformation constante, animée par un besoin vital de créer.
Je place la créativité au cœur de ma démarche artistique. C’est un besoin primaire qui prend vie à travers mon art et m’accompagne dans ma quête de sens et d’expression.
Démarche artistique
Depuis mes premiers pas dans l’univers du graphisme, je nourris une passion profonde pour la photographie et l’illustration. L’image, qu’elle soit créée à la main ou capturée par l’objectif, est devenue pour moi un territoire d’exploration infini. Ce parcours s’inscrit dans une véritable quête créative et artistique : un chemin qui me permet d’avancer, d’apprendre et d’évoluer constamment.
La photographie s’est imposée comme mon langage privilégié. Son caractère instantané me fascine. Elle est un miroir du monde, une fenêtre ouverte sur des instants fugaces et des lieux empreints d’histoire. Attiré par la notion du temps, je fusionne mon existence avec ma pratique. Mon appareil devient le prolongement de mon regard, un outil pour saisir l’essence d’un moment avec sincérité et authenticité.
Ma démarche repose sur un paradoxe assumé : je surfe entre spontanéité et réflexion conceptuelle. J’oscille entre intuition que j’associe à une forme de liberté créative et construction intellectuelle. Je rebondis entre instinct et structure. Je m’impose mes propres limites, je définis mon propre cadre, et c’est à l’intérieur de celui-ci que je navigue librement. Cet équilibre me permet d’explorer sans me perdre.
Influencé par le cinéma, le dessin illustratif, le design graphique, la typographie ou encore la mode, c’est particulièrement la musique qui insuffle à mon travail une énergie vibrante. En concert, je cherche à capter une créativité brute, une émotion pure, une présence authentique. Dans la photographie d’architecture, j’explore une autre dimension : la lumière, les lignes, la géométrie et la composition deviennent un terrain d’expression presque méditatif.
Graphiste de formation, je porte une attention particulière aux couleurs. Elles ne sont jamais anodines : elles structurent l’image, créent des tensions, révèlent des paradoxes et influencent profondément la perception émotionnelle. Chaque photographie est pensée comme une composition où dialoguent espace, lumière et équilibre visuel.
L’essence même de ma démarche reste cependant la créativité en tant que telle. Créer est pour moi un besoin primaire, presque vital. Concevoir, expérimenter, transformer me procure un équilibre quotidien. La créativité est un moteur, un exutoire, un outil de compréhension du monde et de moi-même.
Je la considère comme un remède. Un moyen d’apaiser les troubles intérieurs, de canaliser l’énergie, de redonner du sens. À travers mon travail, j’invite chacun à explorer sa propre créativité, à l’utiliser comme un espace de liberté, de reconstruction et d’expression authentique.

I am a self-taught French artist who has chosen to settle in Montreal for over five years. After studying graphic design at Collège Salette, I began my creative journey as an independent graphic designer, collaborating with communication agencies as well as socio-cultural organizations.
Passionate about imagery since adolescence, I have been practicing photography since the age of 15. Entirely self-taught at first, I refined my eye over the years and later complemented my learning through photography courses in various institutions.
Alongside photography, I have developed a growing practice in video a medium that allows me to introduce movement, rhythm, and greater depth into my creative vision.
This dual visual culture bridging design, photography, and video now shapes my artistic practice and enriches the way I observe, narrate, and create.
My artist name, Jeriko, refers to the Rose of Jericho, often called “the flower of resurrection, immortality, or fertility.” This resilient plant, which appears to never truly die and regenerates with the seasons, perfectly embodies my vision: a constant transformation driven by a vital need to create.
I place creativity at the core of my artistic approach. It is a fundamental need that comes to life through my work and guides me in my ongoing search for meaning and expression.
Artistic Approach
Since my first steps into the world of graphic design, I have nurtured a deep passion for photography and illustration. Whether created by hand or captured through a lens, the image has become for me an infinite field of exploration. My path is part of an ongoing creative and artistic quest a journey that allows me to move forward, to learn, and to continuously evolve.
Photography naturally became my primary language. Its immediacy fascinates me. It acts as a mirror of the world, a window into fleeting moments and places filled with history. Drawn to the notion of time, I merge my existence with my practice. My camera becomes an extension of my gaze, a tool to capture the essence of a moment with sincerity and authenticity.
My approach is built around an embraced paradox: I surf between spontaneity and conceptual reflection. I move between intuition which I associate with creative freedom and intellectual structure. I oscillate between instinct and framework. I set my own limits, define my own boundaries, and navigate freely within them. This balance allows me to explore without losing direction.
Influenced by cinema, illustration, graphic design, typography, and fashion, it is music that most strongly infuses my work with vibrant energy. When photographing artists in concert, I seek to capture raw creativity, pure emotion, and authentic presence. In architectural photography, another dimension of my vision emerges: light, lines, geometry, and composition become a nearly meditative field of expression.
As a trained graphic designer, I pay particular attention to color. Color is never incidental it structures the image, creates tension, reveals paradoxes, and deeply influences emotional perception. Each photograph is conceived as a composition where space, light, and visual balance interact.
At the core of my practice lies creativity itself. Creating is a primary, almost vital need for me. Designing, experimenting, transforming these processes provide me with daily balance. Creativity is a driving force, an outlet, a way to understand both the world and myself.
I see creativity as a remedy a way to soothe inner turbulence, to channel energy, and to restore meaning. Through my work, I invite others to explore their own creativity and to use it as a space of freedom, reconstruction, and authentic expression.
